Pentadecapeptide BPC-157

Pentadecapeptide BPC-157

Pentadecapeptide BPC-157 is a compound that consists of 15 amino acids. It is found in human gastric juices and is typically isolated from it. This compound is a partial sequence of Body Protection Compound and several experiments have been carried out to determine its dosage and effects in the human body. One major feature of these compounds discovered from animal tests is the effectiveness of BPC-157 for healing and protection.

What is Pentadecapeptide BPC-157 used for?

Experiments carried out on BPC 157 show it is beneficial for various organic systems in different species. Some of its uses include;

  • Healing cells and tissue: BPC can potentially accelerate the rate of angiogenic repair in the body. This is a key step in the body’s wound healing process which pertains to the formation of new blood vessels from the damaged ones as part of the reorganization of the microvascular network in the damaged site. BPC-157 can potentially accelerate this process which is why it is often used for treating nagging injuries and rejuvenating the muscles.
Among the tissues and cells that the BPC heals, it is mostly attributed to the healing of tendons. Tendon injuries are very common during sports and other strenuous activities. The tendon tears when it is overused causing injuries. In the past, tendon injuries have been treated with an epidermal growth factor approach, using bone morphogenetic proteins, or Transforming Growth Factors. However, these methods are not considered as effective as BPC which has a higher rate for healing. Usually, tendon healing from injuries is a very slow process with other risks attached, this makes BPC a better option.
  • Heal inflammation and intestinal disorder:BPC consists of peptides found in the stomach which is why it is often used to treat wounds such as gastric ulcers and inflammatory bowel disease. It is also used in treating other inflammatory conditions like arthritis, organ damage, and liver injuries.

Dosage

The common dosage for BPC-157 ranges from 200 mcg to 1,000 mcg. It is measured based on body weight. The dosage may range between 2mcg/kg to as much as 10mcg/kg to be used twice daily for about two to four weeks. After this, the dosage will be put on hold for the next two weeks. If there is a need to continue then the dosage will be repeated.
BPC 157 can be taken as a capsule or injection. It is commonly taken in capsule form when the problem is in the stomach, or when it is used for treating intestinal problems. But for problems such as inflammation, muscle strain, ligament damage, and pain, injection is used.
If BPC-157 is used twice daily, the intramuscular injection should be taken along the sides. BCP is used on an empty stomach. In cases where 3 or more dosages are to be taken in a day, they can be used at least three hours apart.

Positive effects

BPC-157 is a regenerative medicine for well-being. It is often used by athletes looking to accelerate the wound healing process and to improve their performance. Other potential benefits of BPC-157 include:

  • Anti-inflammatory effects
  • Reduce pain around wounds
  • Increases growth hormone receptors
  • Boost digestive function
  • Improves the production of Nitrogen Oxide
  • Healing inflamed epithelium

In addition to all of these, BPC-157 also has the potentials of protecting your organs from toxins. It will also improve the chances of the cells surviving under stress and aid the migration of fibroblasts in the tendons.
